Wisconsin Well Woman Medicaid

A full-benefit health care plan offered in Wisconsin covering people under age 65 who have been diagnosed with and need treatment for breast or cervical cancer or certain precancerous conditions of the breast or cervix.


Waiver Program

Sometimes just referred to as a "Waiver" is a program through which the states gets federal approval (waivers) to provide long-term care and support services in people's homes or communities for individuals who would otherwise need institutional care, like in a nursing home, offering flexibility for those with disabilities or chronic conditions to live more independently. These waivers let states expand Medicaid beyond standard rules, covering services like personal care, case management, and adult daycare.

Wisconsin HealthCheck Program

A Medicaid program for children providing comprehensive health and development assessments to Medicaid eligible children up to 21 years old. Requires the state to provide services to treat childhood health problems, even if they would not be typically covered under the state Medicaid plan, such as advanced dental care, residential mental health treatment and medically necessary supplies or medicine.
