QHP

Qualified Health Plan

An insurance plan that’s certified by the Health Insurance Marketplace, provides essential health benefits, follows established limits on cost-sharing (like deductibles, copayments, and out-of-pocket maximum amounts), and meets other requirements under the Affordable Care Act. All qualified health plans meet the Affordable Care Act requirement for having health coverage, known as “minimum essential coverage.”


QI

Medicare Qualifying Individual Program

An annually enrolled, first-come first-serve program (prioritizing benefit holders from the previous year) that can help pay for Part B premiums as long as enrollees have Part A coverage as well as meet certain income and resource criteria.


QMB

Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Program

An annually enrolled program which can help pay for Part A & Part B Premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments (for services and items Medicare covers) if you meet certain income and resource criteria.
