Lawfully Present

A term to identify individuals with immigration status that is a qualified non-citizen; a humanitarian status, a valid non-immigrant visa, or other legal status.

LPR

Legal Permanent Resident

A non-citizen authorized to live and work permanently in the U.S. Some programs (like BC+) require holding an LPR status of 5 years or greater.
