FPL

Federal Poverty Level

A measure of income updated annually by HHS that’s used to determine eligibility for certain programs and benefits such as Marketplace savings, Medicaid and CHIP. 


FPOS

Family Planning Only Services

Program that provides low-to-no-cost sexual and reproductive health care for people with limited income to prevent unplanned pregnancies. Benefits include contraceptive services and supplies, tests and treatments for sexually transmitted diseases, and routine preventive services related to family planning.

Family Care

Family Care is a Medicaid LTC program for older adults and adults with disabilities.


FoodShare

A government program that provides a cash benefit that can be used for groceries. In other states, this program is known as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP.
